Today marked a remarkable occasion at the Mon Refugee Organization (MRO) as we had the privilege of welcoming Her Highness Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Tunku Temenggong Kedah and National Chairperson of MRCS, accompanied by a compassionate and dedicated team from the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC). The atmosphere was filled with hope as the mobile health clinic was established at our center, located at 68 Jalan Landak, Pudu, Kuala Lumpur, designed to deliver essential medical services to the Mon refugee community.

We were thrilled to see numerous students from the Mon Refugee Learning Centre (MRLC), including those enrolled in our MRLC-GED program, come forward to receive thorough medical examinations and vital treatments. The team from the Malaysian Red Crescent worked diligently, providing a range of services from general health screenings to comprehensive dental check-ups, ensuring that every individual received the care they needed.

Her Highness took a keen interest in the clinic’s operations and made it a point to engage directly with our team. With genuine compassion, she inquired about the specific health needs of our young attendees and discussed potential improvements that could bolster their well-being and overall health.

Her Highness's presence today was not just an act of kindness; it was a testament to compassion and support for our community. We are profoundly grateful that she chose to visit our center and witness firsthand the impactful work being done.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Her Highness and the entire Malaysian Red Crescent team for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions. This mobile clinic has provided not merely essential medical care but also a significant message of hope and solidarity, leaving a lasting impression on our students and the broader Mon refugee community.
